Project 2 Study Models About Dance

The dance I chose for project 2 is the Electric Slide.



This first study model is basically the general steps for my dance. I increased the size of the central steps to show emphasis on the intersecting of steps that occurs in the center of the dance.



These next two pictures show the beat of the dance. It is a basic one, two, three, four and clap. This occurs three times through each of the corners of the dance. I wanted to include emphasis on the clap in this model because I believe it to be an important part of the dance, though it is just a clap.


This next model shows a move in the dance where the dancer does a rocking motion almost to the ground.


This model is another move in the dance, where there is a spin turn that allows the dancer to go into another portion of the dance.


This is the other portion of the dance that I am talking about, this is basically the slide. It is where you step to the right with one foot then put the other foot behind that foot. Then you bring the other feet together and start over in the opposite direction.
